Bonnie Lau Named Top Antitrust Lawyer by Daily Journal
For the second consecutive year, the Daily Journal has named partner Bonnie Lau to its list of 2022 Top Antitrust Lawyers. The recognition, which honors leading California lawyers who specialize in plaintiff, defense, and government antitrust work, highlights Bonnie’s outstanding professional track record.
Bonnie is the co-head of Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco Litigation Department. A dynamic trial lawyer and antitrust litigator, Bonnie has represented companies in high-stakes complex litigation involving claims of price fixing, monopolization, group boycotts, no-poach agreements, predatory pricing, and refusal to deal. She has tried several bench and jury trials to verdict, and recently served as lead trial counsel in an antitrust class action jury trial with over $1 billion of exposure, which was resolved mid-trial on favorable terms. Clients commend Bonnie as “absolutely outstanding; a practical, responsive and adept adviser” and “a fantastic lawyer, detail-oriented and able to handle complex matters with ease and good humor” (Chambers USA 2022).
Bonnie devotes herself to promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal community and currently serves as co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Network for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association; co-chair of the board of the ABA Antitrust Section’s Women.Connected; and recently completed her term as chair of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity Alumni. Bonnie also maintains a robust pro bono practice and received the 2021 Partner in Justice Award from the Center for Justice and Accountability for her work on a human rights case representing Haitian victims of torture, arson, and extrajudicial killing.
Profiles for all of the winning lawyers have been featured in a special Top Antitrust Lawyers issue of the Daily Journal, published on November 16, 2022.
