New York Managing Partner Jamie Levitt has been selected by the New York State Bar Association as the recipient of the 2023 Kay Crawford Murray Memorial Award. The award honors women with distinguished careers in the legal profession who recognize the value of diversity in the profession and have dedicated their time to mentoring and advancing the professional development of women attorneys.
In addition to her robust litigation and trial practice, Jamie is managing partner of MoFo’s New York Office and chair of the Morrison & Foerster Foundation. She served as head of the New York Litigation Department, co-chair of the firm’s Complex Litigation and Trial Practice, chair of the firm’s global Pro Bono Committee for a decade, and a member of MoFo’s board of directors. Jamie serves on the Recruiting Committee and as a diversity mentor and sponsors the NY Women’s Affinity Group.
In 2022, Jamie was also recognized by Corporate Counsel as a Managing Partner of the Year in recognition of her outstanding commitment and dedication to the promotion of women and diversity in the law. She was shortlisted by the Financial Times as one of the “Innovative Leaders” as part of the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards North America 2022 for her successful leadership during a period of drastic change and her role in championing social justice causes.
Jamie will be honored at the Bar Association’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, January 19, 2023. The award will be presented in New York City at the Women in Law Section’s Kay Crawford Murray Award luncheon at the New York Hilton Midtown.
