Morrison Foerster has been shortlisted as a finalist for Outstanding Firm for Diversity and Inclusion as part of the Chambers Diversity & Inclusion Awards: USA 2023. These awards shine a spotlight on firms and individuals who are furthering the advancement of diversity and inclusion across the United States and Canada.
For more than forty years, Morrison Foerster has remained committed to furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the communities where we work and live and to fostering a firm culture that respects, embraces, and celebrates our differences as strengths. At our core, we believe having an inclusive environment strengthens the quality of the service we provide to both our clients and communities.
At Morrison Foerster, we aim to be a model of diversity that others will follow, and we truly believe it is important for our leadership teams to reflect the diversity of life experiences, thoughts, and perspectives we see in our communities. We are proud to be the first major law firm to have elected an openly gay chair in 2001, and to be one of the first AmLaw 50 firms to ever elect a diverse firm chair of Asian descent in October 2022. Formed in 2003, MoFo’s Diversity Strategy Committee supports a variety of internal diversity, LGBTQ+, and women’s initiatives, programs, and groups designed to recruit, train, mentor, and retain diverse lawyers and staff.
MoFo was previously honored with the Environment & Sustainability: Innovation Award at the Chambers Diversity & Inclusion Awards: North America 2022.
This year’s winners will be named at the awards ceremony which will be held virtually on June 15, 2023. View the full shortlist for the Chambers USA 2023 Awards.
