Constitutional Challenge to Georgia Voting Machines Set for Trial Early Next Year

David Cross spoke to AP News about U.S. District Judge Amy Totenberg’s ruling against Georgia’s motion for summary judgment and setting a trial for January 2024. The case argues that the State’s electronic voting system has major security flaws that amount to violating voters’ constitutional rights to transparent, fair, accurate, and verifiable voting.
“We look forward to presenting our full evidence at trial and obtaining critical relief for Georgia voters,’ said David. “But we hope this decision will be a much-needed wakeup call for the Secretary and State Election Board, and finally spur them to work with us on a negotiated resolution that secures the right to vote in Georgia.”
