Michael Jacobs was featured in a Daily Journal article covering the settlement in favor of the plaintiffs in the case of Cayla J. v. State of California, in which over a dozen plaintiff students filed a lawsuit against the state of California claiming they were denied educational equality guaranteed by the state with remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Michael said that as a result of the settlement, “The state’s school districts will take a hard look at the pandemic recovery needs of their students, and then apply evidence-based tools to address those needs.”
