Bita Rahebi Named an Intellectual Property Women Leader in Tech Law by The Recorder
The Recorder has named Bita Rahebi as one of its Intellectual Property Women Leader in Tech Law as part of its annual California Legal Awards. According to The Recorder, the winners of the Women Leaders in Tech Law award are the “go-to attorneys for Big Tech or the next groundbreaking tech startups” and are “handling game-changing, law-shaping, market moving work in and around the tech sector.”
Bita Rahebi, co-chair of Morrison Foerster’s global IP Litigation Group and the cross-disciplinary Intellectual Property Group, and co-leader of its Semiconductor Industry Group, helps the world’s most innovative technology companies protect their most valuable assets. She provides strategic direction and leads complex, high-stakes litigation matters. As a trial lawyer, Bita is known for zealously representing her clients’ interests. She brings an ability to explain complicated issues to juries and judges, a skill honed through years of experience working with cutting-edge technologies.
Bita is an active member of the Lead Counsel Summit. Started in 2023, the program is an intensive training initiative created by a group of prominent women intellectual property lawyers to address the first-chair imbalance in patent cases. Bita is also very active in the IP Bar and is a past president of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association (LAIPLA). She co-founded LAIPLA’s Women in IP Committee, which supports the development of women IP attorneys. Bita has also been an integral member of LAIPLA’s Diversity Fellowship Committee, which was created in 2014 to increase diversity in the IP Bar. At MoFo, Bita served as a member of the Women’s Strategy Committee for nine years. She previously served as a co-chair of the MoFo Summit for Women In-House Counsel.
