James Koukios spoke to Anti-Corruption Report about DOJ Criminal Division Head Matthew Galeotti’s recent memo and speech outlining the Division’s enforcement priorities and revisions to key Division policies.
James stated that, before Galeotti’s May speech, “the white-collar bar was in a bit of limbo, wondering broadly whether the Criminal Division intended to continue white collar prosecutions and more specifically whether any of the prior guidance on self-reporting and whistleblowers was still in place. For the most part, the answer was yes, and that was notable to me.”
