Inmate fights move to US prison

Carolyn Homer spoke to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette about Arkansas Department of Corrections inmate Gregory Holt, a self-described jailhouse lawyer and practicing Muslim who goes by the name Abdul Maalik Muhammad, and his recent lawsuit in federal court arguing that he be returned to Arkansas from West Virginia, where he was recently transferred.

Carolyn stated, “Our perspective is that the state of Arkansas transferred a prisoner who was holding them to account because they didn’t want to deal with his litigation that was winning. We just want to bring him home.”
