Brian Nash Named a Finalist for Intellectual Property Attorney of the Year in Texas Legal Awards
Brian Nash, co-chair of Morrison Foerster’s global IP Litigation Group and managing partner of the Austin office, has been named a finalist for the Texas Legal Awards Intellectual Property Attorney of the Year for 2025. This award honors an attorney who has excelled in IP law.
Brian’s recognition follows a series of high-profile victories in complex intellectual property litigation. In the last few months alone, he has secured rare summary judgments of invalidity in Delaware and the Western District of Texas, jurisdictions where such outcomes are uncommon. These results have protected our clients from hundreds of millions of dollars in claimed damages and underscored Brian’s reputation for delivering exceptional results in challenging venues.
Brian’s leadership extends beyond the courtroom. He has litigated over 200 cases in Texas, including more than 110 before Judge Gilstrap and Judge Albright, and is trusted by Fortune 50 clients. He also led the founding of the Honorable Lee Yeakel IP Inn of Court, the first IP-focused Inn of Court in Texas, and serves as its president.
The full list of finalists is available on Texas Lawyer’s website. Honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony on September 25, 2025, in Dallas.
