Jim Krenn was a panelist at the San Diego Entrepreneurs Exchange on August 13, 2025. The topic of the evening was “Weathering the Storm,” where experts discussed how early-stage companies within the local biotechnology ecosystem are navigating 2025’s tough funding and operating climate. Morrison Foerster was a partner for the event.
With roughly 80 life science professionals and entrepreneurs in attendance, Jim and the other panelists discussed the path to IPO and other exit opportunities for life sciences founders and companies. Jim mentioned his work with Carlsmed and their recent IPO.
Jim noted, “I had the pleasure of working with Carlsmed when it was founded. We were at the Nasdaq a few weeks ago to ring the opening bell. This year, we are still seeing some bright spots, both here in San Diego, and across the country.”
