Carrie H. Cohen spoke to Bloomberg Law about the upcoming sentencing of Charlie Javice, a businesswoman found guilty of defrauding JPMorgan in its $175 million acquisition of her student-finance startup, Frank.
Carrie said, “You can expect her to say she’s young, she made mistakes." Carrie added that the large financial sum involved in the case weighs against her, but the victim was not “an individual who lost their life savings,” which the judge may also take into account.
