MoFo advised Nitricity, a climate-tech startup creating sustainable, organic nitrogen fertilizers by harnessing air, water, renewable energy, and almond shells, on the completion of its $50 million Series B financing round. The funds will be used to scale production of its organic, plant-based fertilizer and expand across the US and into Europe, partnering with organic farmers amid growing attention regarding agrochemicals. The round was co-led by World Fund and Khosla Ventures, with participation from Chipotle's Cultivate Next venture fund, King Philanthropies, Susquehanna Sustainable Investments, EIP, and Fine Structure Ventures.
The MoFo team was led by San Francisco emerging companies + venture capital partner Jason Sanderson with San Francisco corporate associate Lauren Chase and Los Angeles corporate associate Savannah McGinnis.
