Michael Glaser is a partner in both the San Francisco and Seattle offices. He serves as Co-Head of the Emerging Companies + Venture Capital Practice and is the Seattle Office Managing Partner. Described as “one of the finest venture capital lawyers I have ever worked with” by a client in Chambers USA, Michael brings more than two decades of experience advising entrepreneurs and investors in starting and scaling technology companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. With the 2026 launch of Morrison Foerster’s Seattle office, Michael splits his time between the two regions. Michael represents startups from formation through exit across a wide range of industries, including consumer e-commerce, artificial intelligence, interactive entertainment, digital media, consumer products, sharing economy, cloud services, enterprise software, fintech, and digital health. His work spans the full lifecycle of a company, from early architectural decisions through growth financing, strategic partnerships, and liquidity events, allowing him to advise clients with a systems-level perspective on risk, governance, and long-term value creation. He has represented startups in hundreds of venture capital transactions with pre-money valuations ranging from the millions to the billions, and his clients have been backed by leading venture capital firms including Sequoia Capital, Greylock, Benchmark, Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, Kleiner Perkins, and Khosla Ventures. Michael also advises companies in mergers and acquisitions, including numerous high-value exits with repeat acquirers across the technology sector. In addition to client work, Michael is an active industry thought leader. He has served on the Model Document Working Group of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), the Corporate Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California, and the ABA Working Group on Legal Opinions. Michael helped Standard Capital in developing their unique closing process and streamlined financing agreements. He also brings significant management experience to his role at the firm. Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Michael co-chaired another international law firm’s largest practice group, overseeing ten subgroups, more than 300 lawyers, and a practice with a P&L in the hundreds of millions. Michael serves as a trustee for two independent schools in the Bay Area and sits on the board of the National Center for Learning Disabilities. Sarah Denhard is an associate in the New York office and is a member of the firm’s Emerging Companies + Venture Capital practice group.Sarah represents startup companies from formation to exit. During law school, Sarah was an online editor for the Emory Law Journal. She also participated in Emory Law’s Technology and Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER) program, focusing on the technology and business track. Additionally, she served as Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and interned with the in-house legal department at Universal Creative.

Boris Segalis is a partner in Morrison Foerster’s Cyber, Data + Privacy Group. He advises companies at the intersection of data, technology, and regulation, helping them navigate complex legal frameworks while building and scaling data-driven products and services.As a leading privacy and cybersecurity lawyer, Boris’s practice is focused on issues where the law is evolving and the answers are not always clear. He works with clients to apply existing regulatory regimes to new technologies and business models, particularly in areas such as AI, data monetization, digital platforms, and emerging financial technologies. His work spans strategic product counseling, corporate transactions, and high-stakes regulatory matters, including representing companies in investigations by the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and global regulators.Clients rely on Boris for compliance advice and for practical guidance on how to operate in uncertain environments, whether designing new products, assessing regulatory risk, or responding to government scrutiny. William Wilson is a partner in the Technology Transactions Group in the New York office of Morrison Foerster.William provides guidance to startups, major corporations, and venture capital and private equity investors. His practice spans business and technology transactions, including counseling, as well as structuring and negotiating deals across various industries, with a specialized emphasis on the Fintech, robotics, software, and technology sectors.William provides legal representation across the entirety of a company’s lifecycle, from general corporate and IP counseling, to early- and late-stage financings, to exit event. As an active participant in the venture ecosystem, William is involved with various startup accelerators and incubators, including MIT Delta V, NYU Endless Frontier Labs, and Spark Cleantech Accelerator.William’s practice covers all aspects of technology and intellectual property counseling, including strategic licensing, artificial intelligence, technology transactions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, and intellectual property strategy and protection. He also has substantial experience in intellectual property and commercial matters related to strategic mergers, acquisitions, and corporate divestitures.William has served as a guest lecturer at numerous institutions, such as Columbia University, Brown University, New York University, Washington University in St. Louis, and University of Tennessee. Anthony Ramirez is a partner in the Technology Transactions Group in the New York office of Morrison Foerster.Anthony advises clients on general commercial and transactional matters. He regularly advises companies on the IP aspects of their M&A transactions. His clients include technology, digital media and content for television and music, financial services, and communications companies with diverse intellectual property assets and issues.His practice focuses on the legal aspects of developing, licensing, and commercializing technology and intellectual property, as well as negotiating general commercial contracts, including outsourcing transactions, as well as content and data licenses. He regularly assists clients with legal issues relating to licensing and commercialization of digital media and content, digital content that is distributed over the Internet or streamed, mobile applications and social media, as well as the licensing of recorded music for distribution via digital platforms. Anthony is also experienced with issues relating to open-source software, software development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud-based technology, and protection of proprietary information.Anthony has extensive experience working on matters involving disruptive technologies, such as blockchain. He has helped fintech clients with general intellectual property issues in connection with terms of service for online financial products and services.Anthony is an integral part of the outside pro bono legal team for nonprofit organizations based in New York, including advising clients on legal issues regarding entertainment, social media, privacy rights, and the negotiation of outsourcing and service agreements. Anthony received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2009. He received his B.S. from Cornell University in 2004.
