Morrison Foerster’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group has been recognized in the Daily Journal’s 2025 Top Defense Verdicts report for securing a complete summary judgment victory for Palo Alto Networks in a long-standing patent dispute.
Led by partners Timothy Chen Saulsbury, Kyle W.K. Mooney, and Daralyn J. Durie, the MoFo team obtained full summary judgment of noninfringement after years of litigation narrowed the case to a limited number of patents. In its ruling, the court concluded that the plaintiff’s case collapsed under the testimony of its own experts, whose admissions during questioning by MoFo left the company without evidence to support its claims.
The MoFo team also included Palo Alto partner Rose Lee, San Francisco associates John Douglass and Joyce Li, and Miami associate Michael DeStefano.
