Scott Jalowayski Named to GPCA Legal & Regulatory Council
The Global Private Capital Association (GPCA) has named Scott Jalowayski, partner at Morrison Foerster, to its Legal & Regulatory Council, one of 11 leadership councils that convene senior industry leaders to shape dialogue on key issues affecting global private capital markets.
GPCA’s Leadership Councils provide a forum for leading investors, advisors, and practitioners to exchange insights, share best practices, and develop practical guidance on the most pressing challenges facing the industry. Council members also help inform GPCA’s thought leadership, programming, and advocacy priorities, supporting initiatives that advance investment across emerging and global markets.
As a member of the Legal & Regulatory Council, Scott will collaborate with GPCA senior leadership, fellow council members, institutional investors, and other stakeholders to examine evolving regulatory frameworks and legal developments, contribute to industry dialogue, and support efforts to promote transparent, efficient, and well-functioning investment environments.
Scott brings more than 20 years of experience advising private equity funds, portfolio companies and investment managers on complex cross-border investments and M&A transactions across Asia-Pacific and globally. He has particular depth in digital infrastructure, life sciences and healthcare, sports and entertainment, interactive and digital media, technology, consumer products, and other high-growth sectors.
GPCA is the global industry association for private capital in emerging markets, representing more than 300 member firms managing over US$2 trillion in assets across more than 130 countries. Founded as the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) in 2004, the organization supports its members through research and intelligence, investor convenings, education, and advocacy initiatives that help shape the future of private capital globally.
