Why a prosecution of Anthony Fauci could face challenges in court

Carlos Uriarte spoke to The Washington Post about a Senate committee's recent vote to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress, which will allow the Department of Justice to decide whether to pursue criminal charges against him.

Carlos said lawmakers routinely refer matters to the Justice Department, but that doesn’t mean prosecutions follow. He stated, “DOJ has a lot of discretion in terms of what investigations it pursues, regardless of what steps Congress takes."
