Morrison Foerster has been shortlisted for Most Impressive Global Investigations Practice of the Year in the Global Investigations Review (GIR) Awards 2026. The GIR Awards recognize the firms, individuals, organizations, and developments that have shaped the international investigations and white-collar enforcement community over the past year. Winners will be announced November 19 at a ceremony at the Conrad Hotel in Washington, D.C., supporting the Swawou Layout Community Primary School for Girls in Sierra Leone.
Morrison Foerster’s nomination highlighted several matters from the past year, including its representation of a client in a multi-year DOJ investigation into potential FCPA violations, which resulted in a deferred prosecution agreement and the first corporate FCPA resolution of 2026. The firm also represents the largest creditor in a major corporate bankruptcy, guiding the client through related litigation and multiple federal investigations.
Morrison Foerster has also been named a finalist for Most Important Development of the Year for its FCPA resolution described above, spearheaded by partners James M. Koukios, Carrie H. Cohen, and Jerry Gomez.
