Nicole Wanzer, MoFo's Director of Attorney Recruiting, and Erika Drous, MoFo's Director of Attorney Learning and Development, were quoted in an article published by The Recorder about the firm's first-year associate class.
Nicole said, “Looking ahead, we're seeing strong demand across the firm and are tracking toward larger summer and first-year classes in the next cycle.”
This year’s associates represent approximately 30 law schools and recently completed MoFo Activate, a two-day onboarding program focused on developing legal skills, professional relationships, communication, feedback, and the effective use of AI.
The program is part of a three-tier professional development framework that includes MoFo Accelerate for midlevel associates and MoFo Amplify for senior associates, emphasizing business management, leadership, and client service.
Erika also emphasized the continued demand for associates, noting that MoFo is "seeing a big demand for associates, so that is why I anticipate next year's incoming first-year class to be bigger, which is why we are very focused right now on lateral hiring ... the bottom line is AI can’t replace our attorneys.”
