Morrison Foerster advised Paine Schwartz Partners, the largest private equity firm dedicated to sustainable food chain investing, on a completed strategic investment by Paine Schwartz Food Chain Fund VI in First Day Life, Inc. ("First Day"), a family-focused wellness brand. This investment aligns with Paine Schwartz's health and wellness core investment theme and builds on the firm's track record in the consumer and better-for-you space.
The deal continues MoFo’s recent run of deals in the consumer sector, including representing Paine Schwartz on its acquisition of Promix and its investment in Bero, as well as representing Gruns on its acquisition by Unilever, Purely Elizabeth on its sale to Ferrero and David Protein on its recent fundraising.
The MoFo team was led by corporate partners Omar Pringle and Astrid Menendez-Muharram, with associates Kristen Cui and Marisa McGettigan. The wider team included executive compensation partner Domnick Bozzetti, tax partner Brian Radigan, and FDA regulatory partner Brigid Bondoc.
