Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders

Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders
At Morrison Foerster, we are committed to cultivating the next generation of leaders through a culture rooted in inclusion, connection, and excellence. From day one, our lawyers receive the support, mentorship, and resources they need to thrive through initiatives like MoFo Navigate, the Wetmore Bridge Program, and small group coaching for working parents & caregivers. We create spaces where our diverse community—including attorneys of color, women, LGBTQ+ attorneys, working parents and caregivers, first-generation professionals, and attorneys living with disabilities—can engage openly, build meaningful relationships, and learn from one another. We@MoFo remain united in purpose, driven by inclusion, and dedicated to developing the leaders of tomorrow.
Rooted in our belief that diverse viewpoints strengthen performance and inclusivity drives innovation, our global teams bring a wide range of perspectives that shape our strategy, enrich our culture, and enhance the results we deliver for our clients and communities.

We view professional growth as a journey, not a checklist. Through MoFo Navigate, a structured mentoring program designed to foster early success and strong professional connections, lawyers receive the guidance and support they need to succeed beginning on day one. The program fosters collaboration, inclusion, and belonging across our global community—helping every lawyer build the skills, confidence, and networks to thrive.
The Wetmore Bridge Program is a two-year initiative that seeks to promote meaningful mentoring relationships, assist in the seamless transition from law school to practice, and build inclusive leadership skills. Components of the program include an apprenticeship model of mentoring, cohort learning experiences, and curated growth opportunities, all designed to encourage a greater sense of belonging while helping participants successfully navigate the nuances of practice, department, and firm life.
Nearly three-quarters of professionals are balancing work with care—whether raising kids, supporting teens, or looking after aging parents. We@MoFo provide both attorneys and business professionals, alike, the opportunity to participate in group coaching for working parents and career givers. Each year, We@MoFo, in partnership with our Disability Affinity Network, offers a series of workshops designed to support members of the MoFo community living with a disability.
In partnership with the MoFo Women Affinity Network, We@MoFo launched a multi-faceted Menopause Initiative to support employees experiencing menopause and to raise awareness around the importance of providing menopause support in the workplace.
Morrison Foerster is proud to have earned Mansfield Certification Plus recognition for 2024, joining a select group of firms to receive this honor every year since Diversity Lab launched the Mansfield Rule in 2017. This distinction reflects more than our diversity—it affirms our commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion grounded in transparency, accountability, and inclusive leadership. Earning this recognition year after year demonstrates MoFo’s unwavering dedication to turning our values into action and driving meaningful progress across the legal profession. As Chief Workplace Experience Officer Natalie Kernisant notes, “At MoFo, we’re proud to lead by example—taking meaningful action to ensure inclusion is built into everything we do.”
