Arabi Hassan (she/her) is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Complex Litigation + Advisement Group.

Arabi represents multinational companies in a wide range of disputes, including data privacy (including claims brought under the California Invasion of Privacy Act), consumer protection, labor and employment, and other commercial matters.

Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Arabi was an associate at an international law firm, where she represented clients in litigation before state and federal courts, as well as in investigations initiated by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Arabi is the co-founder and former executive director of First Gen Empower, a national nonprofit organization that advises K–12 school districts, universities, and nonprofit organizations on legal and policy issues affecting immigrant students. She also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on immigration law.

Arabi earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she developed a strong foundation in privacy law through her time at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Data Privacy and Security Division, the Cyberlaw Clinic at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society, and the ACLU. Her experience included supporting investigations involving high-profile data breaches, drafting privacy and data governance guidance, and advising on compliance with state privacy laws.
