Morrison Foerster is thrilled to announce that it is hosting an in-person Pitch Day in London on 25 June, where select emerging consumer products companies will have the opportunity to pitch to a panel of European business leaders, venture capitalists and investors.
We are looking for emerging companies in the consumer products space that are positioned for and/or actively seeking Seed or Series A financing rounds. You do not have to be a MoFo client to participate, and there is no fee if selected. Our main goal is to be a resource to the startup ecosystem and provide the opportunity for European-based startups to connect with investors.
Please find below our pitch deck guidelines providing an overview of the areas that we are inviting founders to address when submitting their companies for consideration.

Pitch Guidelines
When looking to submit your company for consideration, we ask for the following areas to be addressed:
- Business Description
- Briefly describe your company: the problem; solution; unique differentiator; “so what?” (why will customers buy this/what is the impact); revenue model; stage of your company (how many customers, product launched, product dev phase, beta or MVP released, etc.). From this section, the investor must be convinced of the uniqueness of the business and gain a clear idea of the market opportunity.
- Company Background
- Provide a short summary of your company background.
- Management
- List senior management and relevant prior experience.
- Products/Services
- Convey to the investor that the company and product truly fill an unmet need in the marketplace. The characteristics that set the product and company apart from the competition need to be identified (competitive advantage).
- Technologies/Special Know-how
- Highlight aspects of your product that may be protected by current IP or patent law. Provide evidence of how your offerings are different and will be able to develop a barrier to entry for potential competitors.
- Market
- Provide a clear description of your target market, and any market segments that may exist within that market. Include potential market size / market opportunity and growth rate. Also, mention your revenue model in this section.
- Distribution Channels
- Indicate which channels will be used to deliver your products/service to your target markets (i.e. direct salesforce, VARs, channel partners, etc.).
- Competition
- List any current or potential direct and indirect competition (competition is anything the customer/buyer is currently using to meet this need). Briefly describe the competitive outlook and dynamics of the relevant market in which you will operate.
- Financial Projections
- (unaudited, dollars in thousands) for the next 5 years (Revenue and EBIT)
The Pitch Day process
- The deadline to submit your pitch deck for consideration for the pitch day is Friday, May 30th, 2025.
- All pitch deck will then be reviewed by our judging panel and the six finalists will be selected and notified.
- The six finalists will then be invited to participate at the Pitch Day event on Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 at our London offices.
- All finalists will be invited to present their pitch for a maximum of 5 mins, followed by 5 mins of Q&A from the panelists. The founders who will be presenting at that this event are aware that this may not lead to investments.
- Awards will be given to both the ‘best pitch presentation’ on the evening and ‘most investable proposition’.
- The presentations will then be followed by an evening cocktail reception and an opportunity to network with both the selected finalists and some of London’s most innovative start-ups and investors.
