Climate Tech Demo Series – Collab Fund, Streetlife Ventures

This NY Climate Week edition of the Climate Tech Demo Series, hosted by Streetlife Ventures, Collaborative Fund, Climate Tech Cities, and Morrison Foerster, showcased live technology demonstrations from climate tech startups addressing urban sustainability challenges, including Every Electric, Eztia, Public Grid, Tova, and Trainsit. The event highlighted innovations across energy, advanced materials, water infrastructure, and transportation, giving attendees an in-depth look at the technology behind climate solutions rather than traditional startup pitches.

Suffolk Technologies & Climate Salon: Industrial Decarbonizations & Urban Resilience

Suffolk Technologies, Morrison Foerster, and Climate Salon convened a discussion on decarbonizing infrastructure while building for greater resilience. The event combined an expert panel with interactive roundtable discussions focused on interconnected challenges and solutions across data center decarbonization, clean manufacturing, grid technology, urban resilience, and financing urban pilot projects, bringing together stakeholders to exchange practical ideas for deploying resilient, lower-carbon infrastructure.

A morning forum hosted by Blackhorn Ventures, Mitsubishi Electric, and Morrison Foerster, brought together utilities, technologists, policymakers, and investors to examine the transformation of America’s aging infrastructure. The discussion focused on the forces reshaping the electric grid, workforce, energy demand, and buildings, highlighting infrastructure modernization already underway and the technology, investment, and policy needed to build more resilient systems for the future.

UVC Climate Week Brunch: Family Offices & VCs Investing in Climate Tech

This brunch brought together family offices, venture capital investors, and climate tech founders for a discussion on the future of climate investing and the role of private capital in scaling climate solutions. The conversation explored where investors are deploying capital, emerging opportunities across the climate landscape, evolving investment strategies, and what investors are seeking in the next generation of climate companies. Featuring investor perspectives from Lisa Morris of AKS Family Partners and Elisa Miller-Out of Chloe Capital, the event also showcased a curated group of 14 upstate New York climate and technology companies and provided opportunities for investors, founders, and ecosystem leaders to build relationships and explore potential partnerships.

Innovating Finance for Nature – with CFA Incubator and CPIC

Innovating Finance for Nature, convened by the Conservation Finance Alliance (CFA) in collaboration with the Coalition for Private Investment in Conservation (CPIC) and hosted by Morrison Foerster, brought together investors, financial institutions, conservation project developers, NGOs, and policymakers to explore how to mobilize and scale private investment in nature and conservation. The event spotlighted the CFA Incubator and its pipeline of investable nature-based projects, examined barriers to private capital deployment, and explored innovative financing structures, partnerships, and enabling conditions needed to move projects from concept to bankability. Through a keynote, investor, and practitioner panel, project showcase, and working session, participants developed actionable recommendations for advancing nature finance while creating connections between investors and projects seeking capital.

The conversations from Climate Week don't end when the week does. We are already hearing from founders and investors who connected at these events, and we expect the momentum around infrastructure resilience and conservation finance to keep building throughout the rest of the year.
