MoFo Advises VariQ in Sale to Capgemini

18 Feb 2022

MoFo advised VariQ, a provider of software development, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions for federal government departments and agencies across the United States, in connection with its sale to Capgemini.

Capgemini is a global leader in partnering with companies to transform and manage their business by harnessing the power of technology. Upon completion of the sale, VariQ will become a subsidiary of Capgemini Government Solutions, Capgemini’s independent operating division working with U.S. government agencies. The acquisition will strengthen the company’s position in the federal market, and build momentum for continued growth.

The MoFo deal team representing VariQ was led by Washington, D.C. government contracts + public procurement partner Damien Specht and Denver corporate partner Tyler Sewell, together with Washington, D.C. government contracts partner Charles Capito, San Francisco corporate of counsel Jeffrey Washenko, Denver associate David Rolla, and Washington, D.C. associate Chris Rolle. The wider team included New York tax partner Tony Carbone and of counsel Dave Sturgeon and Washington, D.C. litigation associate James Brower.
