Eric Wiener focuses his practice on intellectual property and has significant experience with a range of commercial litigation.Eric’s practice spans a wide range of industries, and he has represented companies, including Genentech, Novartis, Arbutus Biosciences, Aptiv, Epic Games, Shopify, and Tonal, in high-stakes patent infringement, licensing, and trade secret disputes across the United States. In 2025, Eric helped lead a trial team that secured a non-infringement verdict for his client Epic Games in a case involving virtual concerts Epic hosted on its Fortnite platform. Recently, Eric helped his client Arbutus Biosciences secure a $2.25 billion settlement with Moderna relating to Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine and Arbutus’s groundbreaking lipid nanoparticle patents. A former math teacher, Eric relishes the technical and numerical aspects of cases.Eric earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the Duke University School of Law, where he was elected to Order of the Coif and served as a notes editor for the Duke Law Journal. Eric Wiener

Ramsey Fisher is an experienced trial lawyer who represents clients in high-stakes, complex disputes across a broad range of practice areas in federal and state courts nationwide. Since 2023, he has tried six jury trials, a bench trial, a private arbitration, and a multiday evidentiary hearing. Across these matters, Ramsey played a central courtroom role, regularly examining and cross-examining witnesses, delivering jury statements, and arguing dispositive and evidentiary motions. Ramsey’s trial practice spans patent and copyright litigation, worker misclassification disputes, breach of contract and professional liability claims, and white-collar criminal defense.   Ramey’s representative experience includes: <ul><li>Co-lead defense counsel in a landmark DMCA Section 1202 federal jury trial in Hartford, CT, holding a multibillion-dollar statutory damages claim to less than 1% of the amount sought. </li><li>Plaintiff’s counsel for a leading technology company in a patent federal jury trial in Wilmington, DE, securing a verdict of infringement and successfully defeating defendant’s invalidity counterclaim.</li><li>Defense counsel for a major video game company in a patent federal jury trial in Seattle, WA, securing verdict of non-infringement. </li><li>Defense counsel for one of the nation’s top law firms in a multiday JAMS arbitration, prevailing against plaintiff’s professional liability and breach of contract claims.</li><li>Defense counsel for a prominent Los Angeles politician in a federal public bribery trial.</li><li>Defense counsel for a leading technology company in a multiday evidentiary hearing, successfully compelling arbitration of plaintiff’s employee misclassification claim. </li></ul>Ramsey also maintains an active pro bono practice, having tried two federal civil rights cases and representing indigent criminal defendants through the California Criminal Justice Act.  Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, he practiced at Durie Tangri LLP in San Francisco and clerked for the Honorable David C. Sara Doudar is a trial attorney who focuses on intellectual property litigation. Her practice involves patent and copyright matters, and she has experience working with a wide range of technologies, including cloud computing, wireless charging technologies, pharmaceuticals, exercise devices, and SMS marketing.  ​Prior to joining the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice, Sara was a summer associate at Morrison Foerster. She also previously interned at Boeing where she supported the patent prosecution team in drafting applications, responding to opposition allegations, and identifying patentable inventions. ​Sara graduated magna cum laude from Columbia Law School and was recognized as a Kent Scholar. During law school, she served as the competition team director for the AIPLA Moot Court Competition and the articles editor for the Science and Technology Law Review. Sara received her B.S. in mechanical engineering and petroleum engineering from the University of Southern California. ​Sara is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.​
