Morrison Foerster Named a Finalist for the Corporate Culture & Wellbeing Award by The American Lawyer
Morrison Foerster has been shortlisted for The American Lawyer’s Corporate Culture and Wellbeing Award, which honors organizations that have defined and executed impactful initiatives to promote the well-being and welfare of their members.
The firm’s response to California’s January 2025 wildfires exemplifies its deep commitment to employee care and community support. When the Palisades Fire broke out on January 7th, MoFo leadership acted swiftly—closing the LA office, initiating direct communication with all staff, and launching an internal website with real-time updates and resources. Attorneys and professional staff also volunteered at disaster response centers, offering legal guidance to those affected.
In the wake of the disaster, the Morrison Foerster Foundation raised $120,000 for wildfire relief on behalf organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the California Fire Foundation, and NLSLA’s Disaster Assistance Project. These efforts underscore the firm’s dedication to standing with its people and communities—transforming values into action when it matters most.
Additionally, in May 2025, MoFo attorneys, in conjunction with Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, filed lawsuits on behalf of tenants whose homes had been contaminated with toxic smoke, ash, and soot following the Eaton Fire. The lawsuits aim to enforce habitability standards.
Winners will be announced at The American Lawyer’s annual Industry Awards on November 13, 2025, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
