Morrison Foerster has advised Stonebranch, a leading provider of service orchestration and automation platforms, on its acquisition of HONICO Systems.
Stonebranch develops solutions that help enterprises automate, manage, and orchestrate IT workloads across hybrid environments, from on-premises to cloud and containerized applications.
HONICO, based in Hamburg, Germany, is known for its main product, BatchMan. BatchMan is a workload automation tool designed specifically for SAP systems.
The transaction represents a strategic step in expanding Stonebranch’s leadership in the enterprise automation market. By combining Stonebranch’s hybrid IT orchestration capabilities with HONICO’s deep SAP-native expertise, the acquisition strengthens Stonebranch’s ability to deliver comprehensive automation solutions across SAP and non-SAP systems alike.
The acquisition was announced on September 10, 2025, and is subject to customary competition and regulatory approvals.
