Crescent Moran Chasteen and Rachel Smith Named to Boston Magazine’s Top Lawyers™ List

Boston magazine has named MoFo partners Crescent Moran Chasteen and Rachel Smith to its 2025 Top Lawyers™ list, honoring leading practitioners in the Greater Boston area for excellence in legal work. The annual guide, now in its fifth year, recognizes lawyers across key practice areas based on peer nominations.

Crescent and Rachel co-chair MoFo’s Executive Compensation and Benefits practice, where they advise public and private companies, boards, and senior executives on the full range of compensation and benefits matters.

Crescent counsels clients on the design and implementation of equity and incentive compensation programs, employment and severance arrangements, and related tax, accounting, and securities law implications. She also regularly advises on executive compensation issues arising in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Rachel focuses on ERISA and employee benefits in both transactional and regulatory contexts. She advises on benefit plan design, operation, and compliance, including qualified and nonqualified plans, health and welfare arrangements, and related tax and fiduciary issues.
