Lily Li spoke to Law360 about the U.S. International Trade Commission's recent final determination clearing Insta360 of all asserted utility patents and bringing the investigation to a final resolution in the company’s favor. Lily emphasized that the Commission found no violation as to all five asserted utility patents and affirmed that Insta360's updated models fall outside the scope of the lone asserted design patent.

“The Commission’s final determination reflects a careful review of a detailed evidentiary record,” she noted. “The limited exclusion order related to the design patent is narrowly confined to certain legacy models and does not affect Insta360’s current U.S. product lineup.”
