MoFo Hosts the American College of Trial Lawyers’ 7th Trial Advocacy Program
Morrison Foerster hosted the American College of Trial Lawyers’ (ACTL) 7th Trial Advocacy Program from May 29-31, 2026, in its San Francisco office. The Trial Advocacy Program is a tuition-free training program designed to foster excellence in advocacy, enhance public confidence in the civil justice system and develop future trial lawyers.
The Trial Advocacy Program combined panel discussions, observations, and workshops, and culminated in a simulated courtroom exercise on the last day. The ACTL faculty included Morrison Foerster’s Arturo González and Daralyn Durie. Eric Acker and James Brosnahan are also fellows in the College. All four are in the firm’s Trials practice.
“Morrison Foerster is proud to host ACTL’s recent Trial Advocacy Program,” said Arturo. “This program brings together accomplished trial lawyers and emerging advocates in a hands-on learning environment. I was impressed by the questions and dedication from the participants as well as the knowledge and passion from the ACTL faculty members during the three-day program.”
The Trial Advocacy Program reaffirms ACTL’s mission of supporting an independent judiciary, the rule of law, trial by jury, and access to justice by developing the next generation of skilled, ethical trial lawyers. Membership in the College is invitation-only and extended to select trial lawyers from the United States and Canada who have demonstrated the very highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality.
