Miriam Wugmeister spoke with the Associated Press about the FBI’s investigation into claims by hacking group ShinyHunters that it compromised the FBIJobs.gov portal and obtained sensitive information on agents and job applicants. Miriam warned that the breach could have serious national security implications, potentially exposing agents and their families to extortion, swatting and harassment. Miriam also noted that ShinyHunters has a reputation for “causing trouble and being disruptive.”
