The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) charters, regulates, and supervises all national banks. It also supervises the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks.
The Division enforces Section 5 of the FTC Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. It also manages the Identity Theft Data Clearinghouse, which houses the federal government's centralized repository for consumer identity theft complaints.
