Morrison Foerster has received six nominations as part of the 2022, Asian Legal Business (ALB) Hong Kong Law Awards.
Hong Kong partner, and global chair of the Private Equity Group, Marcia Ellis, has once again been shortlisted for Dealmaker of the Year. This is the fifth time in a row that Marcia has been nominated for Dealmaker of the Year, an honor that she won in 2018. Marcia was recently named to Law360’s 2022 Private Equity Editorial Board, and under her leadership, the MoFo Private Equity Group has for the first time ever been named 2021 Private Equity Group of the Year by Law360.

Since 2018, our Investment Funds team led by Serena Tan, Hong Kong Partner and Deputy Co‑Chair of the firm’s Private Funds Group, has been nominated four times as “Investment Funds Law Firm of the Year.” Similarly, our Band 1 TMT team, led by partner Gordon Milner and Chuan Sun, has been shortlisted four times as “Technology, Media and Telecommunications Law Firm of the Year.” The 2022 shortlist also marks our debut in the “Regulation and Investigations Law Firm of the Year” and “Tax and Trusts Law Firm of the Year” categories in the past five years.
Our Regulation and Investigations team in Hong Kong is led by Hong Kong managing partner Timothy Blakely and Partner Chen Zhu, both of whom are recognized as leading investigations practitioners by Who’s Who Legal –Investigations from 2019-2022, demonstrating our depth and strength in investigations in Hong Kong and across the region.
