L.A. Business First has named L.A. Office Managing Partner Purvi Patel one of 10 honorees in its annual Women of Influence program. The publication recognizes women for their exceptional legal skill and achievement, outstanding leadership qualities, and contributions to the Los Angeles community at large.
Purvi has built a robust practice advising household-name companies on various compliance issues and defending them in complex and class action litigation in federal and state courts across the country. With a defined niche that cuts across MoFo’s Class Actions + Mass Torts and Privacy + Data Security Groups, she operates effectively at the intersection of privacy, consumer products and services, and emerging technology. Purvi has notched significant victories for clients, including defeating class certification and securing summary judgment in some of the most plaintiff-friendly jurisdictions nationwide, and securing several walkaways for industry-leading companies in high-stakes cases involving multimillion-dollar demands.
Purvi also co-chaired the firm’s Diversity Strategy Committee for five years, and remains an active member of the Committee. During her tenure, among other successes, the firm achieved Mansfield Certification Plus four times, implemented an LGBTQ+ Gender Inclusive Policy, and launched MoFo’s innovative Allies Network.
