Julia Schwalm is a counsel at Morrison & Foerster’s German office in Berlin and a member of our litigation practice. She advises and represents clients in complex civil litigation before state courts, with a focus on antitrust damages disputes (“follow-on litigation”).
Ms. Schwalm assists and represents national and international clients in the resolution of large-scale commercial, often cross-border disputes before state courts with a focus on follow-on litigation as well as on technology-based disputes. She advises clients in commercial law and all aspects of distribution law, including dealer and agency agreements and compliance aspects, as well as in product liability matters and internal investigations. She has handled cases in a variety of industries, including automotive, consumer goods, telecommunications, heavy machinery, and banking.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Schwalm worked with a major international law firm in Berlin. From 2003 to 2006 Ms. Schwalm was a research assistant at the Institute for Private International Law and Civil Procedural Law at the University of Regensburg. During her professional education, she worked for one of the vice presidents of the European Parliament in Brussels and at an international law firm in Spain.
