Maureen is a partner at Morrison & Foerster (International) LLP. Maureen’s practice focuses on advising private equity and real estate funds, and financial and corporate investors in all aspects of their investment cycle, including private and public mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, infrastructure investments, joint ventures, as well as pre-IPO investments, bolt-on acquisitions and corporate restructurings. Maureen also has experience advising clients in corporate carve-outs, management buy-outs and general corporate matters. She has been recently named ‘Rising Star’ in Private Equity category in Asia-Pacific region by International Financial Law Review (IFLR).
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Maureen worked in a leading international law firm’s Hong Kong and London offices, during which she was a secondee at The Carlyle Group for seven months advising its Asia team in their investments and disposals.
Maureen speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Advised a leading international banking and financial services institution on engaging a China state-owned enterprise to develop a training and accommodation facility in the Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone.
Advised a global fund and an Asian fund on their bid for a fixed- line business and the merger between WTT and Hong Kong Broadband.
Advised a global fund on its acquisition and subsequent exit from a global apparel labeling and branding solutions provider Trimco to an Asian private equity firm.
Advised a global fund on the acquisition of and subsequent disposal of outsourced service provider to education, science, technical and medical research publishers, SPi Global for approximately US$330 million.
Advised a global fund on its disposal of minority stake in Focus Media Information Technology Co., Ltd. along with its then consortium members, its investment into an Ant Financial’s subsidiary and its acquisition of a significant minority stake in Delhivery.
