Richard Jerman is an associate based in the London office of Morrison & Foerster and a member of the Litigation Group.

Richard has experience advising UK and international clients with a range of litigation and dispute resolution matters and has represented both claimants and defendants in the English High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court hearings, as well as mediations and arbitration proceedings.

Richard has represented individuals and companies across a broad spectrum of matters including: (i) advising on contractual analysis and interpretation; (ii) advising on regulatory requirements, corporate actions and directors’ duties; (iii) bringing and defending high value complex cross-border disputes; (iv) challenging and defending procurement awards; and (iv) defending competition follow-on damages claims.

Richard also assists clients with internal and regulatory anti-corruption and competition law investigations, data protection queries and the establishment and monitoring of internal compliance procedures.

Richard has twice spent time working on secondment in large in-house legal departments of international clients, where he learnt the true benefit of delivering commercially focused advice. He is also an active member of the firm’s pro bono practice.

Richard received his LLB (Hons) from Durham University in 2008 and his LPC from the College of Law, Chester in 2009. In 2010, he received an LLM from Cornell University, New York. Richard is admitted to practice in England & Wales.
