Big data plays an increasingly important role in the global economy, raising novel questions for IP protections and competition. What IP protections are afforded to big data and what are the antitrust implications? How are these issues being addressed in mergers and conduct cases in the U.S. and abroad? What are the looming issues involving IoT and 5G?
