Panel Discussion: The Tech Innovations Driving DEI
Morrison Foerster’s D&I affinity groups are pleased to announce the first of a series of events focused on the intersection between law, business and D&I. Below please find details on this inaugural event, a panel discussion on “The Tech Innovations Driving Diversity Forward”, which we are hosting in partnership with InterLaw.
“Culture and the authenticity of our commitments to DEI in the workplace should matter to each and every one of us. For firms and legal teams, culture has become a more pressing regulatory and reputational issue. And for individuals, a poor workplace culture can feel soul-destroying, making even the most progressive and well intentioned DEI efforts feel like lip service. Despite DEI and culture being high on the agenda for over a decade, InterLaw Diversity Forum research makes clear that we have a long way to go. Does technology hold the answer?
Integrity and accountability sit at the heart of this lively panel discussion. We will explore how tech innovations are enabling firms and in-house teams to learn more about their strengths and shortfalls, and to make meaningful progress around diversity and workplace culture.
We will be joined by specialists from the Vault Platform, whose active integrity platform is helping employers to prevent misconduct, while empowering employees to speak up. We will also be joined by the team behind the UK Model Diversity Survey, to explore how their innovative analysis and reporting of DEI data - and the willingness of firms to provide an honest assessment of their DEI strengths and shortfalls - may hold the key to change.
This discussion is a must for leaders (in house, private practice and beyond), ERG leads, DEI and HR practitioners and anyone with a keen interest in driving progress on culture and diversity in their workplace.”
