In May 2020, the European Commission is set to deliver its first review report on the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Rumor has it that the commission does not intend to draft proposals to reform or fix apparent flaws in the GDPR. "The limited appetite for a substantial reform is understandable," she writes, "but I find it harder to justify the commission would not be willing to remedy apparent flaws.
