City & State New York has once again named partner Carrie H. Cohen to its Law Power 100 list, which honors the 100 most influential leaders in the legal field, including elected and appointed officials, judges, attorneys, and academics.Given Carrie’s extensive government experience and distinguished record of success in the courtroom, Carrie is often called upon as investigatory and trial counsel for particularly sensitive and high-stakes matters.  Examples of these matters include serving as Special Counsel to the New York City Council in connection with investigations of and disciplinary proceedings against Council Members and as Special Counsel to the Metropolitan Transit Authority in connection with review of its overtime policies and procedures.  Carrie also serves as co-chair of the firm’s Workplace Misconduct Investigations Task Force and frequently advises clients on these issues as well.   In addition, Carrie recently was appointed by the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York as Counsel to the Court’s Grievance Committee and by the President of the New York State Bar Association to Chair its Task Force on Domestic Terrorism and Hate Crimes.While serving as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Carrie investigated and tried public corruption, investment fraud, and securities cases. She also served as Chief of the Public Integrity Unit in the Criminal Division in the New York State Attorney General’s Office and as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Bureau, where she received the Louis J.
