26 Mar 2020

Managing IP has named Morrison & Foerster Appellate Firm of the Year and recognized Washington, D.C. partner Deanne Maynard as the Outstanding Practitioner of the Year – Appellate during its Americas Awards 2019. The awards were presented to the firms, individuals, and companies behind the most innovative and challenging IP work of the past year, as well as those driving the international IP market.

As a market leader in intellectual property appeals in the Federal Circuit, Morrison & Foerster’s Appellate + Supreme Court practice has been described by Legal 500 as a “formidable opponent” in any “patent appeal, in part due to our ability to collaborate with the firm’s robust patent litigation practice.” Deanne has argued more than 35 Federal Circuit appeals for a diverse set of clients, including leading technology and life sciences companies.

The firm is consistently ranked as one of the top Appellate + Supreme Court practices in the country by Chambers and Legal 500, with co-chairs Deanne Maynard and Joseph Palmore both individually ranked in these leading legal publications. The practice has also been consecutively named to the National Law Journal’s Appellate Hot List.

Morrison & Foerster was additionally shortlisted for United States Firm of the Year Life Sciences IP Litigation, as well as United States Patent Contentious: West. You can view the list of winners on Managing IP’s website.
