Mergermarket Honors MoFo in 2020 Japan M&A Awards
Morrison & Foerster received two awards from Mergermarket’s 2020 Japan M&A Awards, announced on June 11.
A media company that focuses on M&A, Mergermarket named MoFo:
This marks the second consecutive year that MoFo has been awarded top honors in these two categories.
The nominations were based on analysis of Mergermarket league table data, with the top firms by deal volume and value being invited to submit written submissions. To select the winners, Mergermarket’s panel of expert judges—chosen from a variety of industry backgrounds ranging from investment banking to academia—analyzed the data and reviewed the written support provided by nominated firms.
According to the description of the selection process on Mergermarket’s website, the judges were “looking for the story behind the data, such as the value-adding nature of the advisory work [that the firm] provided to clients, examples of innovative or creative solutions to complex situations and how [the firm] helped get the deal across the line.”
Here are some of the notable M&A deals that we worked on over the past 12 months:
MoFo Advises Fujifilm and FX on $2.3B Buyout of Xerox’s Stakes in FX
MoFo Advises MUFG on US$706 Million Investment into Grab
