Without Guidance, U.S. Companies in Limbo After Privacy Shield Scrapped

Miriam Wugmeister spoke to Compliance Week about how the decision to end the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield is leaving U.S. companies in a Kafkaesque situation, where they are still having to use the Privacy Shield program and are left to sort out solutions on their own as they await further guidance.

“We really need a political solution,” Miriam said. “It’s unreasonable to put this burden onto companies.”
