MoFo Represents Abry Partners in Sale of Music Reports, Inc.

Morrison & Foerster represented Abry Partners, a leading Boston-based private equity firm, in connection with the sale of its portfolio company, Music Reports, Inc., to MidOcean Partners, a New York-based alternative middle market private equity asset manager. Music Reports, Inc. is the leading independent provider of music rights data, administration, and management services. The company leverages its proprietary and continuously updated music and cue sheet databases, Songdex and Cuetrak, to deliver a full technology-enabled platform of advanced rights, payments, and royalty solutions for the music and entertainment industries. Music Reports was founded in 1995 and is based in Woodland Hills, California.

The definitive agreements for the transaction were signed on August 25, 2020. The terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.

The MoFo deal team was led by Boston partner Todd Boudreau, and a Boston-based team of lawyers including Kevin Madden, Leo Martin, and Mike Maroni.
