China is set to enact a tough data privacy law, the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). The new regulation requires entities handling Chinese citizens’ personal data to minimize data collection and obtain prior consent. In the article, Paul suggested several key points foreign companies doing business in China should incorporate into their data collection strategies.
