Hong Kong partner Marcia Ellis has been selected as one of three finalists in the “Professional of The Year” category at AmCham Hong Kong’s Women of Influence (WOI) Awards.
Marcia Ellis is global chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Private Equity Group, is a member of the firm’s global board of directors and has practiced law in Hong Kong for more than a quarter of a century. Marcia has been consistently recognized for her work supporting women in business over the past several years and plays a fundamental role mentoring women professionals within the legal industry, inside and outside the firm. She was recently named as one of Asia’s Top 15 Female Lawyers by ALB 2021. She is also recognized in the fourth annual publication of IFLR1000 Women Leaders and has appeared on the list each year it has been published.
Marcia is a highly respected private equity and M&A lawyer. In 2021 alone, she has been nominated for Dealmaker of the Year at both the annual China Law & Practice Awards and the Asian Legal Business (ALB) Hong Kong Law Awards. These awards recognize exceptional legal achievements and honor the biggest and most important commercial legal matters that involved lawyers and parties in China and Asia.
Now in their eighteenth year, AmCham Hong Kong’s WOI Awards are an exciting and important recognition of outstanding women and their supporters in Hong Kong, and are a highly-regarded honor. In total, ten awards are given out to individuals or companies. All candidates, whether an individual or a company, need to demonstrate a strong and demonstrable link to their impact in Hong Kong.
