Annabel Gillham is of counsel at Morrison & Foerster, based in the London office. Her practice focuses on cross-border employment counselling, employment advice on transactional matters and investigations, and employment litigation.

Ms Gillham works across a variety of sectors including technology, retail, financial services and energy and frequently manages multi-jurisdictional advice for international clients. Her practice includes advice on: cross-border labor and employment matters; employee benefits and executive compensation; litigation; internal investigations; privacy and data security.

She regularly helps senior management and HR executives with the “people” aspects of takeovers, restructuring projects, business and share sales and outsourcings. She also helps clients defend UK Employment Tribunal claims (e.g. for unlawful discrimination, equal pay, whistle blowing and unfair dismissal) and advises on team moves.

Ms Gillham has worked on a broad range of major transactions and outsourcings and has managed a number of high-profile board changes. She also advised on employee investigations in the UK and in the US and defended high-stake Employment Tribunal claims. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster in January 2017, Ms Gillham practiced at a London-based international law firm.

Ms Gillham regularly designs and presents employment law training and updates to senior managers and HR executives and was a member of the UK Employment Lawyers’ Association working party responding to the recent government consultation on the gender pay reporting regulations.

Ms Gillham is also qualified to practice in the British Virgin Islands, where she spent three years advising on cross border commercial litigation and insolvency matters, including high value board and shareholder disputes, freezing orders and third party disclosure orders.
