Daniel Levison serves as the Head of Litigation in Morrison Foerster’s Singapore office and leads the firm’s global Ethics and Compliance practice in Asia.With over 25 years of experience working across the region, Daniel advises clients on a wide range of litigation matters, internal investigations, and compliance reviews throughout Asia-Pacific. His practice spans multiple jurisdictions, including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Singapore, India, Nepal, Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and New Zealand. Gordon focuses his practice on advising clients about intellectual property, licensing, outsourcing, and technology transactions.He has advised clients in the IT, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and energy and life sciences industries on a wide spectrum of technology-related matters. His practice ranges from major projects, such as the establishment of the entire technology infrastructure for a new national PRC bank, to the creation of a new Singapore-based outsourced design, manufacturing, and logistics system for a global footwear company.Gordon has particular experience in cross-border commercial technology transactions in Asia and has worked with clients on a variety of projects, from traditional technology transfer arrangements to complex collaborative development relationships. He also has substantial experience in providing intellectual property, regulatory, and operational technology law advice to clients in mainland China, Hong Kong, and the Asia-Pacific region.He is a frequent writer and speaker on technology transfer rights, encryption, intellectual property rights, and data privacy, and has delivered lectures to regional governments and industry bodies in Asia.
