MoFo Lawyers March Together in Celebration of Tokyo’s Rainbow Pride Festival

14 May 2019

MoFo lawyers gathered last month to march in Tokyo’s annual Rainbow Pride Parade. In honor of the event, they tie-dyed plain white MoFo shirts to wear during the parade and held up a printed banner showcasing MoFo’s support for Tokyo’s LGBTQ+ community.

Before the parade, a MoFo team, including Tokyo-based members of the firm’s Asia regional LGBTQ+ affinity group, gathered in nearby Yoyogi Park for a picnic celebration. This year marks MoFo’s first participation in the Tokyo Rainbow Pride Parade, which took place on April 28, 2019.

MoFo Tokyo associate Daisuke Gatanaga, who marched in the parade, said of MoFo’s participation, “It was wonderful to march with my fellow colleagues in this year’s Pride Parade and showcase MoFo’s broader support for the Tokyo LGBTQ+ community. Although this was our first time marching in the parade, I am hopeful that MoFo’s presence will become a long-standing tradition.”
